Recently we moved to a model at the Alaska Standard requiring our readers to log in before being able to read an entire story. After hearing from you, we realize this was not a good idea. You no longer need to register or log in to view stories on the Alaska Standard. For now, you do have to log in to make comments on stories but that also will change soon.
We have experienced tremendous growth at the Alaska Standard and are dealing with some growing pains. We appreciate your support and are always willing to hear your suggestions for the site.
We are also always looking for columnists or contributors willing to write for the Alaska Standard. All political persuasions are welcome. We ask only that you write well. We don't promise to publish everything sent to us, but if you have a desire to write for the Alaska Standard, please feel free to e-mail me your submissions to Faganreport@me.com

I am surer now than ever before that starting the Alaska Standard dot com was the right choice. Liberal bloggers are getting their panties’ in a wad over our new site. That’s a good thing.
Liberals conventionally try to muzzle speech that doesn’t fall in with what they believe. If you are a crusader for truth, you really haven’t accomplished much if a group of leftists hasn’t tried to shut you down. Read more
