Assembly members have no room to talk

The Anchorage Daily News did its best this week to manufacture a scandal involving Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan. The agenda driven paper ran a story with the headline, “Life insurance for late mayor raises eyebrows.”

There is no there there in this sorry but the left wing bloggers have been shopping it to media types and what do you know, the Daily News took he bait, hook, line, and sinker.

The truth of the matter is the Anchorage Assembly back in 1982 decided to award then retiring Mayor George Sullivan a life insurance policy for life. It turns out the current Mayor Dan Sullivan, son of George, was named trustee of the life insurance trust.  Read more
